Mitsubishi Caterpillar takes the Gartner prize for its CRM solution

Forklift truck manufacturer Mitsubishi Caterpillar Forklift Europe has won the Gartner CRM Excellence Award for efficiency in its customer relationship management project, using Microsoft Dynamics CRM.

MCFE submitted that it was able to streamline order entry and processing, IT support requests and dealer communications, using its new system. In fact, says the company, it reduced time for customising business applications from 35 to 10 days, saving 60% of its development costs, while also improving order processing times from five minutes to 90 seconds. "Businesses need to deliver essential line-of-business applications more quickly and at a lower cost," comments Brad Wilson, general manager of Microsoft Dynamics CRM. "We are honoured that MCFE is recognised by Gartner … for its project. This implementation is just one example of how our customers are unlocking new value from their existing Microsoft investments, and delivering business solutions that are easy to design, easy to manage, and, for their users, easy to use," he adds. He also makes the point that a broad range of manufacturers around the world are using xRM, the flexible application development framework for Microsoft Dynamics CRM, to accelerate the development and deployment of their business applications — whether on the premises or in the cloud via Microsoft Dynamics CRM Online.
