Humidity specialist Munters says it’s continuing the roll-out of IFS Applications ERP system to improve efficiency and agility throughout the business – the latest development being a contract to implement the solution for its Asian operations.
Munters, which first implemented an IFS Applications system in 2000, now uses it in 14 countries in Europe and South Africa. The new system is due to go live first in Australia in the next few weeks. It will be followed by Japan and China.
To date, the system has been used to plan and manage all manufacturing, distribution, finance, installations, and service at its manufacturing sites in Sweden, Italy, Germany, and China.
Per Solbu, business applications director at Munters, says: “We intend to standardise and streamline our business processes in Asia. Besides the traditional manufacturing, sales and installation of equipment, a large part of our operations consists of water and fire damage restoration at customer sites.
“Munters is very definitely a decentralised service organisation, and it takes modern, agile systems to follow up operations worldwide. Our goal is to accelerate communication and information exchange, improve control, and shorten lead times.”
