Design software specialist Autodesk has announced the appointment of Mark Paraskeva (pictured) as the company’s new vice president of Europe, Middle East, India and Africa (EMIA). In his new role, Paraskeva will lead and be responsible for Autodesk’s operations across the EMIA region.
Autodesk said Paraskeva’s appointment reflected the EMIA region’s increasing contribution to its business, with income from the region now exceeding $1 billion (£677m) - approximately 40% of the company’s total global revenues.
Before his new appointment he was vice president of Northern Europe, having joined Autodesk in 2004. He has a first class honours degree in electronic engineering from Southampton University.
Paraskeva said the whole world faced unique times with unique market conditions and Autodesk would focus on enabling its customers and partners to address the immediate challenges and prepare for the future.
“We will continue to focus on providing the tools that enable ongoing innovation, the development of new products and services and to take advantage of the opportunities presented by developed and emerging markets,” he said.
