Precision optoelectronics manufacturer Olympus America says it is eliminating data synchronisation problems, having deployed Oracle CRM On Demand in its Medical Systems Group.
Rick Harbuck, Medical Systems Group vice president of Olympus America, says that the sales team now has visibility into account activities, as well as reporting and analytics tools and an intuitive user interface – all via a single, web-based system.
He adds that the firm chose Oracle CRM On Demand because it wanted a scaleable, SaaS (software as a service) implementation to keep up with its growing user base, as well as to interface with other systems and provide a single repository for sales activities and accounts.
“Having the entire Olympus America Medical Systems sales team on the same Oracle CRM On Demand deployment allows us to focus on our efforts on building our business efficiently and effectively,” says Harbuck.
In less than seven weeks, Olympus rolled out a customised CRM deployment on on-budget, with calendar synching and full activity, opportunity and contact modules with Lotus Notes to more than 400 users and sales people in three sales groups throughout the US.
“The quick rollout was impressive and we are very pleased with the tremendous reporting and analytics tools now available to us,” comments Harbuck.
