OMB turns valve configuration to Cincom
Italian valves manufacturer OMB Valves is buying Cincom’s sales configuration software to cut the time taken generating quotations for its substantial product range.
The company, which manufactures valves for plants in the oil and gas, chemical and power-generation industries, says it expects to automate and optimise the whole customer quotation and pricing process, leading to increased productivity.
It also believes the system will provide feedback in the form of expert knowledge and trends that will help it to adapt its products quickly to evolving market requirements.
OMB Valves says it was impressed with Cincom’s functionality and design, which lends itself to handling even its most complex valves. It joins a growing body of similar organisations, including Xomox and Spirax-Sarco.
