Oracle launches new front door analytics for JD Edwards users

JD Edwards EnterpriseOne users can now deliver customised financial performance metrics and compliance data to multiple roles, following Oracle’s launch of a new console.

The new EnterpriseOne Financial Management and Compliance Console allows customers to define role-based views across a whole set of their metrics. Lenley Hensarling, Oracle group vice president, says iIt’s all part of the software giant’s much vaunted ‘Applications Unlimited’ programme – helping operational users by providing new business analysis capabilities right at their desktops. “Operational consoles are the new front door to analytics,” he says. “The new console puts powerful analysis capabilities into the hands of operational users … to support an agile and adaptive enterprise with more informed business decision making.” For the record, that mean your users get access to 47 pre-defined metrics that can be adapted to hundreds of permutations, depending on requirements. Metrics include financial ratios, general accounting, accounts receivable, accounts payable and corporate governance. There are also seven categories of compliance alerts.
