Portsmouth Water streamlines workforce on IFS Applications
Portsmouth Water has chosen IFS Applications to support its mobile workforce, streamline service operations and optimise project and asset management efficiency.
The utility, which provides water to a 660,000 people, as well as businesses, industry and large defence establishments, states that it needed a reliable software partner capable of matching its existing high standards of service.
Richard Keates, project manager for works and asset management at Portsmouth Water, says the new functionality will enable the utility to improve its efficiency and effectiveness in managing the lifecycle of its extensive asset network.
"We chose IFS from a shortlist of three vendors, because they have demonstrated that they clearly understand our industry and are committed to working in close partnership with us to deliver a successful project and a world class water infrastructure," comments Keates.
