The historic manufacturer bought Spinnaker Works on a self-contained 4½ acre site.
The investment, estimated at around $10m, comes after Root Systems said it had outgrown its existing facility and has relied on its sister companies' bases to manage their growing demand.
The New Facility and Its Benefits
The new facility will allow the company to conduct operations under one roof in an EPC B rated facility, according to Root Systems.
Managing director Sean Swales said to Insider Media: "This move represents a substantial financial investment, to be in excess of £10 million, funded from our group's existing cash resources and is a huge vote of confidence in the business. It is a bold step on our part, and we are excited about the opportunity and increased capacity that it provides."
Exciting Future for Root Systems
"Sales activity is at record levels, with our traditional markets remaining healthy. In addition, we are now supplying many new and innovative green tech packages because of the transition occurring in the energy, hydrogen, and carbon capture sectors."
He added: "No pun intended, but this move shows Root Systems reinforcing their roots to Gloucestershire, our birthplace, and a home of which we are proud. It also secures our future as a UK manufacturer and major industrial equipment exporter.
