Schneider Industry cooking on gas with CPiO

Schneider Industry (UK) says it has selected CPiO to provide managed ERP services for its LPG bulk vessels operation, to meet changing IT requirements.

The contract, valued at £45,000, is the result of a planned relocation of its Airdrie site, which currently houses all of Schneider's servers. It includes a six-user hosted solution that will be rolled out across all three of Schneider's UK sites running Sage 200 and Microsoft Outlook. David Strain, Schneider finance manager, explains: "The relocation of Airdrie production to one of our manufacturing plants in France played a significant part in our decision. As all of our servers are currently at Airdrie, there are significant security risks and huge cost implications involved in moving these. The hosted managed solution will completely alleviate these problems." And he adds: "As a small company, we do not have the internal resource or skill-base to effectively manage our IT system in-house. We have previously had a few members of staff managing our IT as an add-on to their regular job, but this often caused resource issues. The new hosted solution will free up vital resource, as well as provide reassurance in the knowledge that our systems are being stored in a secure location, managed by IT experts."
