Industrial utilities group Sembcorp has selected SAP Business All-in-One ERP software to meet regulatory requirements and provide a platform for growth.
"SAP is our global technology platform [so] it was a no-brainer for us to invest in a SAP solution over other vendor offerings, because it has both the functionality we require and will also integrate seamlessly with the global business," states David Guy, senior vice president of finance for the privately held energy and water plant company.
"SAP Business All-in-One was the right fit for our business, because of both our size and functionality requirements," he continues, adding that SAP's partner Titan Technology Partners has been chosen as the implementation partner.
Business All-in-One ERP will be rolled out across Sembcorp's UK businesses to more than 700 users, says Guy, building on Sembcorp's existing global SAP solution, while meeting UK company standards.
"The new SAP solution will provide the Sembcorp UK businesses with a robust platform for our planned future growth, while ensuring we work within our global corporate reporting and business framework," explains Guy.
"Titan's team will implement SAP to provide us with all the local regulatory requirements needed by Ofwat, and our global SAP platform ensures we continue to operate in the forefront of our industry."
Sembcorp's UK businesses are owned by Sembcorp Industries, which provides centralised utilities, energy and water to industrial comapnies and others in Singapore, the UK, Asia, the Americas and the Middle East.
