Socomec, the Alsace-based industrial switch manufacturer, has awarded a contract worth several million French francs to e-business software author Access Commerce for its Cameleon Commerce Portal and Cameleon Visual Selling software.
The project is being led by systems integrator Teamlog and will involve replacing the company's existing CRM (customer relationship management) software with Visual Selling, then integrating the firm’s Baan ERP (enterprise resource planning) software with the Cameleon portal technology.
Socomec’s information systems director Yvan Steyert, commented: “We were attracted by the power of the Access Commerce configuration software. This is an integrated tool in the portal solution that helps us present our intelligent [complex] product line to best effect. We’ve included in our decision the Cameleon Visual Selling solution to equip our sales force of more than 300 representatives around the world.”
