ERP software developer K3, which has been selling the Syspro 6.0 suite since its acquisition last year of Information Engineering, says the latest release is “ground-breaking”.
Syspro 6.0 Issue 010 has new functionality across financials, distribution and manufacturing, as well as new customisation capabilities and new modules.
Top points are, first, a new user interface that’s more configurable to role – and by the way, version independent. Second is Syspro Reporting Services, which incorporates an embedded version of Crystal Reports XI and includes interactive reporting with scheduling and archiving.
Third is electronic signatures, enabling authentication and auditing for regulatory compliance – increasingly important across not only the food and drink sector, but pharmaceuticals and related industries.
Beyond these it’s all about enhancements like improved financial visibility and expanded multi-site management, control and costing of co- and by-products and strengthened traceability.
Says Pat McCarthy, director and general manager of K3: “Issue 010 allows customers to customise their Syspro applications without compromising their ability to move easily to new releases of the software. We are also offering clients the power to personalise the look and feel without changing source code. The result is a more efficient business operation and a less disruptive implementation.”
