Theory of Constraints and Infor Visual put Darmex 25% ahead

Argentinean chemicals manufacturer Darmex says it has seen significant improvements in productivity, scheduling and quality since implementing Infor ERP Visual and Theory of Constraints.

Carlos Forti, financial director at Darmex, explains that the company has established a means to identify and avoid bottlenecks in production, helping to reduce manufacturing costs and increase capacity without adding inventory. These productivity gains have contributed to a growth rate of 25%, he says – adding that Darmex's operations in Europe, and South and North America, as well as its distributors and channel partners in the rest of the world, can all now access information via the Internet. "Infor ERP Visual has provided us with many benefits, such as increased productivity, improved plant scheduling, tight coordination between manufacturing and purchasing and comprehensive information for better decision-making," says Forti. "Infor offered us the right solution … to provide higher quality products worldwide to customers such as Goodyear, Firestone, Pirelli, and Continental."
