TRW Aeronautical Systems, the $1.1 billion manufacturer of engine controls, power generation equipment and missile systems, has selected enterprise software vendor Cincom’s ERP (enterprise resource planning) software to form the backbone of TRW Aeroservices, the company’s new web-based maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) system.
The implementation of Cincom Control is part of a global rollout to 14 sites in all, and the deal also includes Cincom’s MRO module to help TRW track and manage its repair process from order through to completion.
The system will pull together information from TRW’s repair depots, field service, service parts warehouses and re-manufacturing plants, cutting repair lead times and improving customer service.
TRW Aeroservices is a ‘one-stop shop’ for all the firm’s repair orders for any aircraft parts, regardless of the original equipment manufacturer. It gives customers complete 24-hour, seven days a week vision of the product repair cycle.
