UKWA and Skills Council sign qualifications agreement

The United Kingdom Warehousing Association (UKWA), the trade body for the third party logistics sector, and Skills for Logistics, the Sector Skills Council for the freight logistics industries, have reached a formal agreement to work together on the development of a series of nationally recognised qualifications for the logistics industry.

UKWA’s chief executive Roger Williams and Dr Mick Jackson, chief executive officer of Skills for Logistics, will sign a memorandum of understanding which outlines ways in which the two parties will co-operate at a ceremony next Tuesday (28 April) during the Multimodal exhibition at the NEC, Birmingham.
