Powered pallet truck launch from Cat
Cat has launched a new powered pedestrian pallet truck range, which is available in the UK from Cat distributor Impact Handling.
With lift capacities of 1.6, 1.8 and 2 tonnes, each of the new models features AC drive technology, reducing energy consumption and giving precise drive control. The equipment also has an 'eco' mode to reduce travel speed and cut energy use.
The trucks are suitable for loading/unloading on dock levellers and uneven surfaces, thanks to a new design feature of linked suspension castors, which give improved load and truck stability.
The pallet trucks have a sealed chassis and waterproofed electrics, plus a fully enclosed battery compartment. The compartment's standard sizing enables different battery brands to be used. Some models have an optional roll-out feature, making them suitable for use in multi-shift operations.
