Bullet shoots for more efficiency with Infor ERP

Promotional products firm Bullet has selected Infor ERP SyteLine to improve efficiency and increase profitability during what the company describes as a high growth phase.

Michael Shield, vice president of engineering and process improvement at Bullet, says that it's all about optimising business processes and supporting and sustaining growth over the next three to five years. He cites improved order turn-around times, through increased production efficiency and streamlined warehouse management, as among key anticipated benefits. Beyond that, Shield highlights: tighter process integration by streamlining and integrating work flow processes; quicker responses to customer demands, as a result of greater access in planning to real-time information; and improved business decisions, again due to real-time data flows. "It was becoming more difficult to keep pace with our antiquated software packages, so we engaged Panorama Consulting to help us identify the optimal solution to meet our needs," explains Shield. "From the onset of our search, it was clear that SyteLine was the solution that delivers … the flexibility and ease-of-use we need now, and a strong investment from Infor for the future," he adds. Shield now says he expects to achieve additional cost savings, as a result of automated reports and a significant reduction in the management of orders and planning. Bullet, he says, will also use ERP SyteLine to configure and price products to improve accuracy and timeliness for each customised order. And he adds that the company will also use Infor Warehouse Management to improve its visibility into inventory, reduce out-of-stock items, and uprate the physical management aspects of inventory across multiple locations.
