Global elevator safety equipment manufacturer Memco is reporting a successful upgrade to its Infor ERP SyteLine system, now at v8.0 from v6.0.
Simon Goffin, financial director, says that the project had two main goals: supporting increased productivity thoughout its European operations and future-proofing its IT infrastructure.
He specifically cites v8.0's APS (advanced planning and scheduling) capability in SyteLine 8.0 as increasing production forecast accuracy for the Czech Republic plant, and supporting process and information consistency.
Just as important, Goffin expects the new ERP system to speed up its inventory and stock-take processes, saving four days each year – a productivity increase of 2%.
"With operations across Europe, it is fundamental that we can rely on a system to facilitate 100% visibility of customer orders throughout their lifecycle, to help ensure that productivity is maximised," comments Goffin.
"SyteLine 8.0 is easy to use and adapts to the needs of each department. Given that the upgrade was quick and straightforward, the business benefits of the system are already being experienced," he adds.
