Intermec acquires Enterprise Mobile to spread business mobility

Enterprise Mobile's services look after everything from mobile device deployment to user training, help desk support, replacement and repair, refresh and recycling/end-of-life. Larry Klimczyk, vice president of Intermec Global Solutions, says that the acquisition is part of Intermec's mission "to be the leading provider of rugged mobile business solutions", by extending its hardware, software and lifecycle services. "Through our PartnerNet [channel] community, Intermec provides the industry's first complete and seamlessly integrated rugged mobile business solution, and our customers have experienced firsthand the benefits of deploying AIDC hardware from one source," comments Klimczyk. "Providing comprehensive hardware, software and services is the next level in our transformation of mobile business processes," he adds. Klimczyk explains that Intermec's partners will now be able to provide complete mobile solutions through Enterprise Mobile, which will become part of the Intermec Global Solutions business.
