Czech aircraft manufacturer Moravan Aviation says it’s implementing Infor ERP LN (formerly Baan) to cut inventory and simultaneously improve its customer-facing business and manufacturing processes.

Moravan, which serves the training, sports, aerobatic, utility and touring aeroplane markets, says it plans to use LN to address issues such as improving access to information through faster data collection and analysis. It expects results to include more informed business decision-making, resulting in better planning and improved delivery due date performance – leading to increased profitability and happier customers. “We must maintain the highest levels of quality and efficiency in our products and services to satisfy the demands of our customers,” says Ladislav Smrcek, general manager of Moravan Aviation. “LN provides the business processes and IT capabilities to help us meet these standards. By accelerating the flow of real-time information across the entire enterprise, our speed to market, customer satisfaction and competitiveness will improve.” Additional benefits he expects include real-time insight into the status of orders and deliveries, as well as quality control across all key business processes. LN supports requirements including identification and tracking of products – from procurement through customer delivery to after-sales service – as well as change management and product configuration management, all of which should also help with its project-based customer collaboration.
