Argentine cosmetics manufacturer Nerova upgraded to a newer version of its Infor ERP Visual in a matter of hours – across multiple business units.
Cristian Sainidin, IT manager at Nerova, says that the newer version of its ERP, which is aimed at small to midsize manufacturing companies, will enable the firm to gain visibility and efficiencies in its manufacturing plant, where seven business units produce 2.5 million items per month.
He says that is being achieved by streamlining business processes and reducing stock levels in the production plant to produce 20% more with lower cost.
Sainidin specifically alludes to the planning and scheduling functionality of Infor's software, which, he says, provides insight into production levels and requirements – a particularly important task given that 40% of the company's raw materials come from outside the country.
He also reckons that the new level of insight gained from the upgraded software helps Nerova to meet customer requirements faster and more efficiently.
"We can now manage our entire inventory online, with Infor ERP Visual, and see great benefits. By knowing exactly what our stock of raw material is, as well as the precise amount of finished products required to meet demand, we have greatly reduced our inventory levels and associated costs," says Sainidin.
"Through these capabilities, ERP Visual has helped us improve [the efficiency of] our operations [by] 20%."
