Precision formed metal components manufacturer Presspart reports success with its SAP Business All-in-One solution, which went live in November 2009.

The £20 million turnover manufacturer, which is part of the Heitkamp & Thumann Group, makes items such as cans for asthma inhalers and is the market leader for such products. Dietmar Schmitz, finance director ar Presspart, explains that the company was previously using an old version of Sage, which was no longer adequately maintained or supported. In December 2008, he says, Presspart made the decision to look for another solution capable of meeting the regulatory requirements for pharmaceutical suppliers. "Our products are used in life saving devices and our customers depend on us to keep them supplied. It was therefore imperative that the system worked from day one," comments Schmitz. "When choosing a new technology vendor, we had to be absolutely certain we were making the right choice both with the software, and also the implementation partner as we couldn't afford for anything to go wrong," he adds. Schmitz reckons that Business All-in-One will allow Presspart to improve business processes and productivity, maintain operational excellence and enhance agility to respond quickly to any changes. SAP implementation partner Itelligence was the implementation partner for this project and Schmitz says: "It has been a huge success working with Itelligence. We had a very successful working relationship. They showed professionalism throughout the project, understood Presspart's requirements and worked very well within the team."
