Proctor & Gamble to drive IT improvements with SAP partnership

Procter and Gamble has signed a global enterprise agreement with SAP to boost collaboration in terms of building a scalable yet standardised global IT infrastructure.

“We are looking forward to leveraging the global enterprise agreement with SAP to step-change innovation in business services and to enhance the efficiency of our core business operations,” says Filippo Passerini, Procter and Gamble president of global business services and CIO. “We see this relationship as highly strategic, creating value both for SAP and P&G.” Procter and Gamble has been a SAP software partner since 1989, focusing on core business processes such as finance and supply chain. The new agreement covers software, software maintenance, strategic software developments, and so-called ‘maximum attention’ support and consulting services. Passerini says it’s all about: leveraging SAP products to drive business process innovation and enable growth; partnering to driven down the total cost of the company’s IT landscape; creating a more standardised and integrated infrastructure; and improving the scalability and predictability of its core SAP solutions.
