US industrial plastic components manufacturer Richco is to implement IFS Applications ERP on IBM xSeries hardware throughout its North America, UK, Spain, and China factories.
“The IFS system will enable us to standardize business processes and roll out a comprehensive lean initiative throughout our worldwide operations,” says Richco director of global It David Bryan.
“We chose IFS Applications because it is a strong global package with all the capabilities we need, including integrated functionality for repetitive manufacturing, kanban, and engineering.”
With the initial systems in place, the company also plans a roll-out to its sales and distribution locations in Europe and Asia within the next two years.
Initially, Richco will implement IFS’ applications for supply chain management, financials, engineering, maintenance, quality management, sales and service, and workforce management. The company also intends to install integrated barcode systems from IFS partner Radley Corp.
Others in the plastic products manufacturing industry that are already using IFS ERP include Filtrona Extrusion, Nolato Plastteknik, Intek Plastics, Value Plastics and Euroform.
