SAP builds out complex manufacturing execution with Visiprise

Essentially, SAP will be reselling Visiprise Manufacturing under the monica ‘SAP Manufacturing Execution by Visiprise’ – no great surprise, following Visiprise’s investment from the global SAP NetWeaver fund in November last year. Visiprise Manufacturing complements SAP’s existing MES applications, adding capabilities for route enforcement, traceability and shop floor quality management combined with integration via the SAP xApp Manufacturing Integration and Intelligence (SAP xMII) composite application. The combined offering is a Java EE- based, turnkey manufacturing solution that helps users increase business process efficiency, reduce the cost of quality and ensure compliance with government regulations. “The combination of manufacturing capabilities from SAP and Visiprise helps us provide a comprehensive solution for our customers in the discrete industries,” says Sudipta Bhattacharya, senior vice president of solutions management at SAP. “Elevating our relationship to the next level provides significant value to customers that want to drive both global coordination as well as local execution across their manufacturing networks.”
