International chemicals firm Scott Bader is to go for a substantial upgrade to its Infor M3 ERP system, in a bid to boost productivity by accelerating transaction speeds and improving operations management.
Other expected benefits, according to Kathryn McLean, IS manager at the €220 million company, will include: customised user interfaces, aimed at uprating costing processes; and better production planning facilities.
Scott Bader, she explains, will upgrade to the latest version of Infor M3, as well as implementing Infor's flerxible, role-based Smart Office interface, its Enterprise Search system and Mashup modules – the latter providing composite applications to boost process efficiency.
McLean explains that the system will be deployed throughout the company's 11 locations, including manufacturing and sales organisations, in two phases, eventually touching 290 users.
"By upgrading our group-wide ERP system we aim to decrease the amount of time spent on administration, getting the right information to the right person faster," she says.
